Consumer protection

  • Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia (Tribunal Tuntutan Pengguna Malaysia, TTPM)

A statutory, low-cost tribunal under KPDN that gives consumers an alternative to civil courts for claims against sellers or service providers under the Consumer Protection Act 1999. It does not cover healthcare services or personal injury claims, so it generally would not apply to clinical disputes with a chiropractor, though it could cover related billing or contract issues.

  • National Consumer Complaints Centre (NCCC)

An NGO-run, national complaints centre that acts as a one-stop point to help consumers resolve disputes, working with bodies such as KPDN's Enforcement Division, the Tribunal for Consumer Claims, the Tribunal for Homebuyer Claims, the Bar Council, and the Financial Mediation Bureau.
